Daytour on Padjelantaleden

The Padjelanta Trail starts 3 km upstreams the Tarra river. On ride up to the boat place you pass the unique and lush two-river delta.

The difference in altitude is small on the first part of the trail and the path is easy to walk. After 2 km you reach the nice creek Vallebäcken. If you continue further on you will partly follow the river. The landscape is a sparse old forest and mires, and closer to Njunjes also meadows. The view is over Shellapuolta and the Tarrekaise massif.

A hike to Njunjes is especially suitable for hikers wanting to have a two-day outing and sleep in a tent or in a mountain cabin. The cabin in Njunjes is run by the STF.
